HERE Technologies is a company that provides international mapping and location data and related services to individuals and companies. I worked as a front-end web developer and UX designer for 4 years in their Chicago office. It is majority-owned by a consortium of German automotive companies, whilst other companies also own minority stakes. HERE captures location content such as road networks, buildings, parks and traffic patterns.

UX

My UX responsibilities include creating and redesigning templates, redlining, creating wireframes and prototypes, as well as overseeing miscellaneous UX issues.

I designed and created a language selector for the different countries that uses our products on 5 different continents. The hover states and slide motion make it very easy for the user to understand where they are in the process. Created in Axure.

Front End

For the front-end work, I developed and maintained the presentation layer on their many e-commerce sites using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery. Some partners include Chrysler, Ford, Infiniti, Jaguar, Mercedes, and the list goes on. Other responsibilities include creating and updating of front end documentation.
